New layout and new look!! I will no longer be using this blog so be sure to bookmark the new site for photo updates!

I had the pleasure of shooting Danielle and Matt’s wedding a couple years ago and photographed their two little girls this past Fall. Now, with their newest addition I was able to photograph little Matthew (2 months)! Look at those precious lips!! We were hoping he would sleep during the shoot but apparently he took a 5 hour nap and naturally, he passed out again as I was leaving. Oh well! Still adorable!

One of our friends, Sam Kininger, played at the Electric Company a few weeks ago. You might recognize the name from Soulive or guesting on numerous Dave Matthews Band concerts. He’s a VERY talented saxophonist and an all around great guy. Check out his music at:

Here are some shots from the night.

Sometimes a visually appealing graphic design image isn’t about ornaments and textures… but about simple shapes and use of negative space.

According to my blog stats, people are wondering how to view their proofs.

After the new year I updated my website which has a new proofing website. (proofs.angelamadoniaphotography.com) If you need to access your proofs on my OLD website please use THIS domain name:

web.me.com/amadonia

The above link is essentially my old website. Yes, I could transfer all photos over to my new proofing site but it would days to do and I would have to notify everyone of a new password.

All portraits taken after 2011 will have their proofing on the NEW website. To find the link, go to my actual website (www.angelamadoniaphotography.com) and on the bottom right corner there will be a link that says: proofs. Disable any pop-up blockers and it will open a new window and direct you to the proofing page.

Sorry for the confusion!

My final senior portrait was LAST week! Doing it in January was sort of hit or miss in terms of weather but we lucked out! We decided on the Rome Train Station for location but since it was nice out, we took advantage of the weather and did some shots outside. I’ve done a few photos for weddings there but it was nice to really use the natural light to my advantage – one on one.

I did Sierra’s senior pictures in December but since I was running around like a mad man, I waited until tonight to blog about her shoot. Awful, I know!

We did Sierra’s photos at her best friend’s house and luckily for me, her mother is an artist and they had just added an addition to their house for the purpose of using it as a studio. It was a photographer’s dream! Natural light, hardwood floors – it was perfect! There was a mild snowstorm during the session but that didn’t stop us from going outside.

We just had fun with it.

I have yet to find a wedding proof book that I’m in love with so I’ve come up with the idea to create a custom designed proof box that fit 4×6 prints. That way, you can either store them  in this little keepsake box or find your favorite album and add the photos yourself. I think this is a new and fresh idea that is “angela madonia photography.” I’m always trying to think outside the box… or in this case, in.

Brides that book me after 2011 will get this new product. However, if you’re a bride that booked me before the new year, and absolutely DIE over it, we can work something out.

My dear friend Jodi is starting her own cake baking business. She’s new in the game but don’t let that fool you! I was roommates with Jodi at Syracuse and fortunately for me, she was always baking! She definitely has a knack and her food is delicious. If you don’t want to take out a small mortgage on a cake for your next event, consider Jodi… also she still hasn’t decided on a catchy name so any input would be greatly appreciated! http://sweetcakesbyjodi.blogspot.com/

This couple was one of the most laid back couples. If they were ever nervous during the day – it never showed. While I wish it had snowed to get some winter wonderland shots, it was still a beautiful december wedding/day! Congratulations!
